The SF(a) workshop embraces the concept of “together” in all its facets, therefore acknowledging the importance of collective unity. In the realm of cinema, individuals from many disciplines, including students, tutors, architects, designers, artists, engineers, and photographers, engage in a collective exploration, analysis, and exchange of ideas. Within this shared space, they engage in activities such as viewing, discovering, discussing, arguing, learning, working, debating, and evaluating, as well as augmenting and enhancing their understanding of a subjective and intimate reality.
Exhibition – SF(a) Season 3 at FABLAB Iași
On 4 June 2024, the exhibition SF(a) – Society. Film. Architecture, Season 3: A Clockwork Orange & Brutalism was installed at the FABLAB Iași events space. The exhibition showcases the creative outcomes of the third edition of the workshop, including alternative posters and literary/film reviews inspired by dystopian cinema and brutalist architecture.
Hosted in partnership with FABLAB Iași, the exhibition will remain open to the public until summer 2025, offering students, professionals, and visitors the opportunity to explore the visual and critical reinterpretations produced during the workshop.

Final Exhibition – SF(a) Season 4
The concluding exhibition of SF(a) Society. Film. Architecture Season 4 took place at the “G.M. Cantacuzino” Faculty of Architecture in Iași. The event brought together students, graduates, tutors, and invited lecturers to showcase the creative outcomes of the workshop: 54 alternative posters and 11 literary & film reviewsinspired by Blade Runner 2049 and the theme of Hypermodernism. The exhibition was accompanied by a round-table discussion with organisers and jury members, and culminated in the award ceremony, which recognised the most original and critical works. The closing event gathered a wide audience of participants, academics, practitioners, and members of the local community, celebrating the collaborative and interdisciplinary spirit of SF(a). Itinerant Exhibition – SF(a) Season 3
On Wednesday, 23 October, at 14:00, the itinerant exhibition SF(a) – Society. Film. Architecture, Season 3 will open at Baia Turcească, Iași. The event is part of MUST – Architects in the Community, co-organised by OAR Iași.
Itinerant Exhibition – SF(a) Season 3 in Cluj-Napoca
Between 31 October and 2 November, the itinerant exhibition SF(a) – Society. Film. Architecture, Season 3 will be hosted at Cinema Arta, Cluj-Napoca. The event is part of the national dissemination of the project’s results, presenting alternative posters and literary/film reviews inspired by dystopian cinema and Brutalist architecture.
