Film. Architecture<\/em>&nbsp;took place in&nbsp;<strong>Ia\u0219i, 2\u20139 July 2024<\/strong>, under the theme&nbsp;<strong>\u201cA Clockwork Orange &amp; Brutalism.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Organised by the Romanian Order of Architects \u2013 Ia\u0219i Branch, in partnership with the cultural NGO ALT+A, the event combined&nbsp;<strong>architecture, film, literature, and visual arts<\/strong>&nbsp;into a transdisciplinary laboratory of critical reflection. Season 3 explored the way dystopian cinema and brutalist architecture intersect as cultural expressions of modern society, raising questions about memory, ideology, and collective imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Locations &amp; Partners<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities were hosted at&nbsp;<strong>Ia\u0219i Youth Hub by BCR, FABLAB Ia\u0219i, and the \u201cVasile Pogor\u201d National Museum of Romanian Literature<\/strong>, with support from the \u201cG.M. Cantacuzino\u201d Faculty of Architecture (TUIASI), the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design (UNAGE Ia\u0219i), ASAI \u2013 the Student Association of Architects in Ia\u0219i, and Atelier Nica<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The edition attracted&nbsp;<strong>123 registered students and graduates<\/strong>&nbsp;from architecture, visual arts and design, and literature, alongside young architects in training. Their diversity enriched the workshops and debates, while a group of&nbsp;<strong>5 volunteers<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>4 tutors<\/strong>&nbsp;ensured guidance and coordination. Over&nbsp;<strong>100 people attended the public lectures<\/strong>, making the edition a cultural event open to both academic and general audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme \u2013 Six \u201cScenes\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scene 1 (2 July, Ia\u0219i Youth Hub by BCR):<\/strong>&nbsp;Opening event and case-study screening of&nbsp;<em>A Clockwork Orange<\/em>(Stanley Kubrick, 1971).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scene 2 (3 July, FABLAB):<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>Narrative and Brutalist Architecture<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 lecture by&nbsp;<strong>Emanuela Ilie<\/strong>, followed by the Literary &amp; Film Review Lab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scene 3 (4 July, FABLAB):<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>Potential<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 lecture by&nbsp;<strong>Tiberiu Teodor-Stanciu<\/strong>, plus the Alternative Poster Lab (tutorials in Adobe Photoshop &amp; Illustrator).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scene 4 (4 July, Ia\u0219i Youth Hub by BCR):<\/strong>&nbsp;Hermeneutic Deconstruction \u2013 lectures by&nbsp;<strong>Radu Cucuteanu, Viola Ruhse, and Dan Perjovschi<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scene 5 (6 July, \u201cVasile Pogor\u201d Museum):<\/strong>&nbsp;Hermeneutic Deconstruction continued, with talks by&nbsp;<strong>Silviu Teodor-Stanciu, Anca Horvath, Dana Vais, and Matei Bejenaru<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scene 5.1 (6 July, Tg. The professional juries awarded&nbsp;<strong>six prizes and several mentions and nominations<\/strong>, recognising originality and critical interpretation.
